This is a specialized and cleverly designed support from Medi which incorporates silicon inserts which provide a massage effect promoting blood flow and healing.

The support incorporates integral removable wedges to help reduce tension and stretch on the Tendo-Achilles and posterior calf.

Who Should Use This?

This brace can be used from adolescence into old age to support the Tendo-Achilles and posterior calf.

It is a reliable lightweight sports and activity brace suitable for most sports including contact sport (rules allowing). It is not however suitable to protect against rupture of the Tendo Achilles in cases of advanced tendinopathy or where there is a sizeable tear present. More specifically it is suitable for:

• Achilles Tendonitis and Tendinopathy
• Bursitis at the Tendo-Achilles insertion
• Use when skiing and snowboarding for extra confidence
• Use when training brace for extra confidence
• Use as a sporting brace (where rules allow)
• Use in manual jobs to provide extra support to injured or inflamed joints
• Use in inflammatory situations when the Tendo Achilles is affected secondary to arthritis.

All braces wick moisture away from their inner surface to evaporate from the outer surface and have anti-bacterial properties to reduce odour formation. They incorporate a clever non slip system with precision weaves to minimise creasing during movement.
